“I’ve been waiting for this moment for some time now…” That’s the sound of Jack Reacher returning to Amazon Prime Video, and a new trailer gives us a closer look at Season 3.
Based on Lee Child’s novel Persuader, the show’s third chapter sees Reacher (Alan Ritchson) hurtle into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. There he finds a world of secrecy and violence—and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.
Ritchson’s Reacher will, of course, be joined by Maria Sten reprising her role as Frances Neagley, who has also had her own spin-off series commissioned. New to the cast this season are Anthony Michael Hall (Bosch: Legacy, Halloween Kills) as formidable and successful businessman Zachary Beck, Sonya Cassidy (The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lodge 49) as DEA agent Susan Duffy, as well as Brian Tee, Johnny Berchtold, Robert Montesinos, Daniel David Stewart, and Olivier Richters.
You can see them in action on 20th February, when the first three episodes premiere on Prime Video, followed by weekly episodes until the finale on 27th March.
Here’s the new trailer, plus an earlier teaser trailer below it:
Anthony Michael Hall, Sonya Cassidy join Reacher Season 3
8th December 2024
Amazon is wasting no time in getting on with Season 3 with Reacher, with two new additions to the cast.
The series, which is based on the bestselling books by Lee Child, stars Alan Ritchson as veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher. Written by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner, the show has become a notable success for Amazon. Season 2 – based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Child’s series of novels – was the most-watched title on Prime Video worldwide during its premiere weekend, with its global audience growing by 50 per cent between seasons in the first three days after the second season’s debut.
A third season was rapidly ordered, which will be based on the 7th book in Lee Child’s global best-selling series, Persuader. It will see Reacher go undercover to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past.
Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy have joined the show as series regulars for the third season. Anthony Michael Hall (Bosch: Legacy, Halloween Kills) has been cast as Zachary Beck. A formidable and successful businessman, Beck is a widow and single father of a 20-year-old son, Richard. He is the owner of a rug import company that Reacher and his cohorts suspect is a cover for a more nefarious operation. Sonya Cassidy (The Man Who Fell to Earth, Lodge 49) has been cast as Susan Duffy, an extremely intelligent and tough DEA agent from Boston with a sharp and sarcastic sense of humor.
As previously announced, Maria Sten will also return for Season 3 as Frances Neagley. Filming is currently under way in Toronto.

Amazon renews Reacher for Season 3
5th December 2023
Amazon Prime Video has already ordered a third chapter of Reacher.
The series, which is based on the bestselling books by Lee Child, stars Alan Ritchson as veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher. Written by Nick Santora (Scorpion, Prison Break), who also executive produces and serves as showrunner, the show is well on the way to repeating the success of Bosch – another of Amazon’s longest running and most popular original series, also based on a series of bestselling thriller novels (those ones are by Michael Connelly).
On 15th December, the show will return for Season 2, which is based on Bad Luck and Trouble, the 11th book in Child’s series of novels. That will see Reacher receive a coded message that the members of his former US Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one.
Before that can kick into action, though, Amazon has already given an early renewal to the show for a third run, with Ritchson breaking the news to fans directly from the set of the show in a surprise video. As well as sharing a clip from Season 2, Ritchson announced that production on Season 3 is already under way.
