Good news: Agent Carter will finally be available to watch online in the UK legally from 12th July, as FOX has snapped up the British rights to the show.
The Marvel spin-off, which sees Hayley Atwell reprise her role as Peggy from Captain America, follows Carter as she returns to action on a mission to clear the name of Howard Stark – and save the world from his deadliest weapons.
Dominic Cooper also reprises his role from the Marvel movies, as Stark finds himself being framed for unleashing his deadliest weapons to anyone willing to pony up the cash and so he contacts Peggy – the only person he can trust – to track down those responsible, dispose of the weapons and clear his name.
The show is created by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely and boasts a supporting cast includes James D’Arcy and Chad Michael Murray. It has been met with rave reviews in the US since its debut in January, but the eight-episode first season has struggled to find a UK broadcaster, with Channel 4 passing up the option to screen the series alongside Agents of SHIELD.
Now, though, with Agent Carter commissioned for a second season, FOX UK has stepped into the breech. The series will premiere on Sunday 12th July, which is great news for Sky, Virgin Media, TalkTalk, BT and UPC customers.
But how can you watch Agent Carter online legally? Non-pay TV customers can stream it on NOW.
Sky’s VOD service gives viewers contract-free access to Sky TV channels, such as Sky Atlantic, as well as FOX UK. Shows are available to watch live online alongside their TV broadcast, as well as post-broadcast on-demand, for £6.99 a month, no contract.
For new customers, NOW has temporarily slashed its price to £1 for the first month – a deal that will expire on 28th June. For more information, click here.
In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at a scene from the show:
