Week 1
Chief of War: Season 1
Creating by Momo and Thomas Pa‘a Sibbett, the series follows the unification and colonisation of Hawai‘i from an indigenous perspective. Amid the beautiful backdrop of the islands, the nine-episode series is based on true events and follows warrior Ka‘iana (Jason Momoa), as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonisation in the late 18th century. The first two episodes land together – followed by new episodes weekly until 19th September.

Platonic: Season 2
Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne return for this genuinely funny comedy about college mates Will and Sylvia that celebrates the value of friendship between men and women – and makes you want to be friends with them too.

Wednesday: Season 2, Part 1
Here we woe again. Tim Burton’s live-action series inspired by the Addams Family stars Jenna Ortega in the title role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, Gwendoline Christie and Christina Ricci. The sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Season 2 will premiere in two parts, with the first part on 6th August and the second part on 3rd September.

Week 2
Ridley: Season 2
In Season 2 of ITV’s detective drama, Ridley, Adrian Dunbar returns to the title role to solve more crimes in the north of England. The retired detective turned police consultant resumes his partnership with former protégée, DI Carol Farman, played by Bronagh Waugh (The Suspect, Unforgotten, The Fall), who is now in charge of investigations. Ridley is written and created by Paul Matthew Thompson (Vera) and co-created by Jonathan Fisher (Blood, Hollington Drive, Penance).

Resident Alien: Season 4
This charmingly sweet and darkly funny sci-fi comedy follows Harry, an alien on a mission to destroy the human race, who winds up stranded on Earth and has to work out how to live from one day to the next.

In Flight

Alien: Earth

One Night
Jodie Whittaker stars in this story of three women whose bond was destroyed by a trauma night 20 years ago – only for one of them, a novelist, to publish the story and bring the trauma, truth and fiction back to the surface. After originally being a Paramount+ UK title, before being pulled from the platform, it now makes its debut on ITVX. All episodes arrive together.

The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox
