David Farnor | On 06, Apr 2026
Netflix is reuniting with old friends this April, with a new series from Dan Levy, a second outing for anthology Beef and an animated spin-off from Stranger Things. They’re joined by action in the form of Apex and Man on Fire, plus what might be Netflix’s answer to Sharknado.
Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in April 2026:
XO, Kitty: Season 3 – 2nd April
Kitty Song Covey returns for her final year at KISS with her perfect senior year mapped out. She’s going to make meaningful memories with her friends, grow closer to her relatives in Korea, and make big decisions about her future. And she’s going to define her relationship with Min Ho. For real this time. But when surprise revelations throw her plans, and relationships, off course, Kitty will have to learn to embrace the unexpected.
Barbie – 9th April
Greta Gerwig’s hysterical, heartfelt blockbuster is an entertaining, empowering delight.
Big Mistakes: Season 1 – 9th April
From Emmy award-winning Dan Levy comes a bold, new comedic family saga within a high-stakes crime thriller. Big Mistakes follows Nicky (Levy) and Morgan (Taylor Ortega), two deeply incapable siblings who are in over their heads when a misguided theft for their dying grandmother accidentally pulls them into the world of organized crime. Blackmailed into increasingly dangerous assignments, they clumsily fail upwards, sinking deeper into chaos they’re ill-equipped to handle.
Thrash – 10th April
When a Category 5 hurricane decimates a coastal town, the storm surge brings devastation, chaos and something far more frightening: hungry sharks. Directed by Tommy Wirkola and produced by Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up), the film stars Phoebe Dynevor, Djimon Hounsou and Whitney Peak.
Million Dollar Secret: Season 2 – 15th April
Peter Serafinowizc hosts this reality competition, which sees 14 strangers enter a glamorous lakeside estate and in each of their rooms is a mysterious box. Thirteen of these boxes are empty but one contains $1,000,000, and it’s for that guest to keep — as long as they keep their identity hidden. This season, the stakes are higher than ever as players face trickier agendas, grueling challenges and navigate the ever-changing game of deception. Do they have what it takes to keep their Million Dollar Secret?
Beef: Season 2
Beef returns with a new cast and a new “beef,” as a Gen-Z couple witnesses an alarming fight between their Millennial boss and his wife. Newly-engaged Ashley Miller (Cailee Spaeny) and Austin Davis (Charles Melton), both lower-level staff at a country club, become entangled in the unraveling marriage of their General Manager, Joshua Martín (Oscar Isaac), and his wife, Lindsay Crane-Martín (Carey Mulligan). Through favors and coercion, both couples vie for the approval of the elitist club’s billionaire owner, Chairwoman Park (Youn Yuh-jung), who struggles to manage her own scandal involving her second husband, Doctor Kim (Song Kang-ho).
Roommates – 17th April
When a hopeful, naive college freshman, Devon, asks the cool and confident Celeste to be her roommate, a blossoming friendship spirals into a war of passive aggression.
A Gorilla Story – 17th April
This intimate documentary blends the remarkable story of David Attenborough’s first encounter with the baby gorilla Pablo with a deep dive into how Pablo’s direct descendants are doing today in the mountains of Rwanda. Weaving together contemporary and archival footage of the gorilla group and narrated by Attenborough— including excerpts from his 1978 journals — A Gorilla Story is packed with extraordinary gorilla behavior never filmed before. Directed by Oscar winner James Reed (My Octopus Teacher) and produced by the Emmy-winning, veteran nature documentarian Alastair Fothergill (Life on Our Planet) and Silverback Films, A Gorilla Story is a tale of hope and joy.
Funny AF with Kevin Hart – 20th April
Kevin Hart presents this comedy competition to discover the next grand stand-up comic, with judges including Keegan-Michael Key, Tom Segura, Kumail Nanjiana, Chelsea Handler and Nikki Glaser. The competition unfolds over three weeks, building towards two live episodes where viewers can vote for the winner – who receives the prize of their own Netflix stand-up special. Episodes 1 to 4 arrive together, followed by Episodes 5 to 6 on 27th April. The semi-final is on 4th May and the finale is on 5th May, both at 11pm.
Running Point: Season 2 – 23rd April
Isla Gordon (Kate Hudson) is no longer the surprise choice to lead the Los Angeles Waves, she’s the one everyone is watching. With the franchise finally rebounding after last year’s scandal, Isla is determined to prove she’s not just keeping the seat warm for her brother Cam (Justin Theroux). What she doesn’t know is that Cam is quietly maneuvering behind the scenes to reclaim his post, turning every misstep into ammunition. As she tries to balance the pressure of running a franchise with devoting time to her personal life, every decision on and off the court counts. To survive the family power plays and the scrutiny of the board, she’ll have to rip up last season’s game plan and come up with a whole new playbook if she wants to close out the season on top. From executive producers Mindy Kaling, Ike Barinholtz, and David Stassen, season two of Running Point raises the stakes, deepens the family drama, and finds even more comedy in what it takes to run a modern sports empire.
Stranger Things: Tales from ’85 – 23rd April
Return to Hawkins with Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an exciting new animated series from showrunner Eric Robles and executive producers the Duffer Brothers. In the winter of 1985, snow blankets the town and the horrors of the Upside Down are finally fading. Our heroes Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max have settled back into a normal life of D&D, snowball fights, and quiet days. But beneath the ice, something terrifying has awakened. Could it be from the Upside Down? From the depths of Hawkins Lab? Or from somewhere else entirely? Our heroes must race to solve this mystery and save Hawkins in this new story set in the Stranger Things universe.
Apex – 24th April
Testing her limits in the remote and unforgiving Australian wilderness, Sasha (Charlize Theron) suddenly finds herself not only up against the elements, but also facing off against a ruthless and lethal predator (Taron Egerton).
Should I Marry a Murderer? – 29th April
Three years after a violent crime is committed and carefully concealed, a young forensic pathologist, Caroline Muirhead, meets a man on a Tinder date and quickly falls in love. Their whirlwind romance leads to an engagement – and a future that feels certain. But her fiancé is hiding something horrific. When he finally confides in her about a brutal killing and a body that was never found, Caroline is forced into an unthinkable position. Stay loyal to the man she loves – or risk everything by telling the truth?
Man on Fire – 30th April
Based on A.J. Quinnell’s book series, Man on Fire stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as John Creasy. Once a high functioning and skilled Special Forces Mercenary, known for surviving even the most desolate of situations, Creasy is now plagued with intense PTSD. Determined to overcome his personal demons, he sets out on a path to redemption. But, before he can adjust to this new life, he finds himself back in the fire, fighting harder than ever.
