Disney+ is delivering a big hitter at the start of 2026, with the return of A Thousand Blows for a second season. It’s joined by Tron: Ares, a star-studded FX thriller and – an underdog contender hoping to prove a surprise knockout – Marvel’s Wonder Man.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Disney+ UK in January 2026:

Tron: Ares – 7th January

Tron: Ares follows a highly sophisticated Program, Ares, who is sent from the digital world into the real world on a dangerous mission, marking humankind’s first encounter with AI beings. Directed by Joachim Rønning and starring Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj and Jodie Turner-Smith, with Gillian Anderson and Jeff Bridges.

A Thousand Blows: Season 2 – 9th January

Steven Knight’s series inspired by the true-life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s. One year on from Season 1, Season 2 picks up with Hezekiah Moscow (Malachi Kirby) a shadow of the man he once was while Sugar Goodson (Stephen Graham) is estranged from his family and drinking himself to death. Just as Wapping is about to sigh its last breath, Mary Carr (Erin Doherty) bursts back into town with her loyal second, Alice Diamond (Darci Shaw).

The Tale of Silyan – 9th January

From the Oscar-nominated director of Honeyland comes a poignant and visually arresting story set in the heart of rural Macedonia. Nikola, a farmer grappling with the harsh realities of new government policies, finds himself unable to sell his land or crops. When his family leaves in search of a better life abroad, Nikola takes a job as a landfill attendant, where he encounters the injured white stork Silyan. As he nurses the bird back to health, an unlikely bond forms between man and animal. The result is a deeply moving film that touches on climate change, economic migration, resilience and the quiet power of connection.

Tell Me Lies: Season 3 – 13th January

Tell Me Lies Season 3 follows Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) as they’ve rekindled their tumultuous romance in time for spring semester at Baird College. While they promise things will be different this time, past indiscretions hinder their best intentions and Lucy finds herself embroiled in a controversy she wants nothing to do with. Meanwhile, the disastrous repercussions from the previous year also force Lucy and Stephen’s friends to face their own destructive behaviors. As scandalous secrets fester around campus, vicious consequences threaten Lucy and everyone in her circle.

Pole to Pole with Will Smith: Season 1 – 14th January

Five years in the making, this National Geographic documentary follows Will across all seven continents, taking him from the icefields of Antarctica to the jungles of the Amazon, the mountains of the Himalayas, the deserts of Africa, the islands of the Pacific and the icebergs of the Arctic. All episodes at once.

The Beauty – 22nd January

In FX’s The Beauty, when international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways, FBI Agents Cooper Madsen (Evan Peters) and Jordan Bennett (Rebecca Hall) uncover a conspiracy that threatens the future of humanity. The investigation leads them directly into the crosshairs of The Corporation (Ashton Kutcher), who will stop at nothing to protect his trillion-dollar empire.

Marvel’s Wonder Man – 28th January

Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film Wonder Man. These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry. All episodes arrive at once.
