Disney+ is unwrapping some star-studded treats this Christmas, with a new Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie and backstage documentary, a thriller starring Ethan Hawke, the return of Percy Jackson and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, plus the hilarious The Roses, starring Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch.

The Roses – 3rd December

Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch are hilarious in this darkly funny farce dissecting a marital breakdown.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw – 5th December

Greg continually finds himself at odds with his dad’s outsized expectations. As pressure builds to turn his act around after a series of hilarious near disasters, Greg’s dad presents him with an ultimatum—and a trip to wilderness camp—that just might challenge Greg’s wimpy ways for good. The animated family misadventure is the latest in the series of films based on Jeff Kinney’s books.

Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures: Season 3 – 8th December

Follow your friends one last time in this animated Star Wars spin-off.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Season 2 – 10th December

After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the legendary Golden Fleece. With help from Annabeth, Clarisse and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival becomes essential to stopping Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus. Episodes 1 and 2 arrive together, before episodes arrive weekly.

Get a backstage pass to the Eras Tour with this all-access six-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries, with two episodes arriving weekly until the finale on 26th December.

The Lowdown – 26th December

From creator Sterlin Harjo (Reservation Dogs) and starring executive producer Ethan Hawke, this noir thriller follows the gritty exploits of citizen journalist Lee Raybon (Hawke), a self-proclaimed Tulsa “truthstorian” whose obsession with the truth is always getting him into trouble. When the publication of Lee’s latest exposé – a deep dive into the powerful Washberg family – is immediately followed by the suspicious suicide of Dale Washberg (Tim Blake Nelson), Lee knows he’s stumbled onto something big. All episodes arrive together.
