Women Who Kill
One third of the world’s female prison population is in America; 30,000 of them are serving long sentences for murder. But unlike many male murderers, female killers tend to know their victims. So what pushes ordinary women to kill people they know and love? This documentary meets three women behind bars for murdering people they knew. Each has an extraordinary story.
The Cleveland Strangler
VICE investigates the brutal murder of 11 women between 2007 and 2009. Why wasn’t the killer caught sooner?
Life Behind Bars: Visiting Hour
With unprecedented access to the visiting room at one of the largest maximum security prisons in Scotland, Behind Bars: Visiting Hour, offers an intimate insight of life when people doing hard time meet their loved ones for this special hour. As well as inmates and their families, the staff and warden of HMP Low Moss shed light on the intimate, emotional and sometimes funny goings on in this rarely seen precinct.
12 Year Old Lifer
An extraordinary insight into a murder that gripped and baffled America and that led to a 12-year-old boy being sentenced to 30 years in jail.
Murder in Paradise
In the early hours of 15th September 2014, two British backpackers, Hannah Witheridge and David Miller, were found dead just yards from their hotel in Koh Tao, Thailand. Murder in Paradise delves into life on the seemingly idyllic island and discovers a darker undercurrent to this popular tourist hotspot.
Murder Detectives
The Murder Detectives is a dramatic new documentary series, which will be stripped across three nights, following every twist and turn of a police investigation into the horrific murder of a teenager.
Community: Season 1 to 6 – 23rd July
