Trailer: Elite returns for Season 3 this March
19th February 2020
Elite will return for Season 3 this March, with a new trailer teasing more drama to come.
The series, written by Carlos Montero (The Time in Between) and Darío Madrona (Génesis), takes place in Las Encinas, the best and most exclusive school in Spain, where the elite send their children to study. It’s also where three working class kids have just been admitted after their academy was collapsed and the local council divvied up the students between other schools in the area. They thought that they’d lucked out, but maybe they weren’t so lucky after all – because by the end of Season 1, a dead body had turned up and a suspect had been found.
Season 2 saw the class grow in size, with the addition of several new faces. The returning cast included Miguel Herrán (Money Heist, Tiempo después), Jaime Lorente (Money Heist, La sombra de la ley), Itzán Escamilla (Las chicas del cable, El Ministerio del tiempo), Miguel Bernardeau (Ola de Crímenes), Arón Piper (15 años y un día), Ester Expósito (Cuando los ángeles duermen), Mina El Hammani (El Príncipe), Álvaro Rico (Velvet Collection), Omar Ayuso (who debuted with ÉLITE) and Danna Paola (Atrévete a Soñar).
Now, with the first two seasons’ murder plot wrapped up, the series shows no sign of stopping, with a third season quickly filmed last year off the back of the show’s sophomore run.
While the ripples of Season 2 are likely impact those close to Polo, there are also new characters to worry about: Yeray and Malick, played by Leiti Sene and Sergio Momo. How will they impact the dynamics of the school? Find out on 13th March, when Season 3 hits Netflix.
