Hulu original series 11.22.63 will air on FOX in the UK.
The nine-hour show, which is based on Stephen King’s novel, will premiere this spring on FOX around Europe as part of a new deal between the the broadcaster and Warner Bros. International TV. FOX has the exclusive first-run linear and non-linear rights for its pay-TV channels in 18 markets, including the UK, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Italy.
It stars James Franco as Jake Epping, a teacher who wants to make a difference with his life – an urge that, thanks to persuasion of his friend Al Templeton (played by Chris Cooper), leads him to travel back in time to stop the assassination of JFK.
The series is exec produced by J.J. Abrams, Stephen King and Bridget Carpenter, with the two-hour opener directed by The Last King of Scotland’s Kevin Macdonald. It joins a range of high-profile US shows on FOX UK, including The Walking Dead and the American Horror Story franchise.
