Trailer: Nine Perfect Strangers returns for Season 2 this May
“Do you bring me here for my money?” “I brought you here to heal.” That’s the sound of Nicole Kidman returning for Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2.
Directed and produced by Jonathan Levine and co-written by David E Kelley and John Henry Butterworth, the series is based on the beststelling book by Liane Moriarty. Season 1, which co-starred Melissa McCarthy, debuted back in 2021 on Amazon Prime Video and followed nine city dwellers at a boutique health and wellness resort.
“This star-studded adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s gripping mystery is funny, tense and deliciously weird,” we wrote in our review.
Now, nine new strangers connected in ways they could never imagine are being invited once again to gather together by mysterious guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Nicole Kidman), this time at a retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she will take them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.
Season 2’s cast includes Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong and Aras Aydin.
It will premiere on Hulu in the USA, but Amazon Prime Video holds the exclusive UK TV rights, with the first two episodes arriving on 22nd May, followed by episodes weekly.
