Mads Mikkelsen and Thomas Vinterberg reunite this autumn for Another Round, which is heading to the London Film Festival before hitting UK cinemas.
There is an obscure philosophical theory that humans should have been born with a small amount of alcohol in our blood; that modest inebriation opens our minds to the world around us, diminishing problems and increasing creativity.
Intrigued, Martin (Mads Mikkelsen) and three of his friends, all weary high school teachers, embark on a risky experiment to maintain a constant level of intoxication throughout the workday. Initial results are positive, but as the units are knocked back and stakes are raised, it becomes increasingly clear that some bold acts carry severe consequences.
The film not only marks a reunion between Vinterberg and Mikkelsen after The Hunt, but also a reunion between Vinterberg and regular collaborator Tobias Lindholm, who has penned The Hunt, The Commune and A Hijacking. Mikkelsen is joined on screen by Vinterberg regulars Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang and Lars Ranthe.
It premieres at 5.15pm at BFI Southbank on Wednesday 14th October, with an online screening following at 6.30pm. It will then go on to be released in UK cinemas on 20th November.
