Only Murders in the Building will return for another season – and this time, the gang is heading to London.

The series, starring Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside the Arconia, their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio employ their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, they unravel the complex secrets of the building that stretch back years – and wind up becoming stars, suspects and targets in their own right, although not necessarily in that order.

Season 5 saw Renée Zellweger and Christoph Waltz join the ensemble, as the trio investigated the death of Lester (Teddy Coluca), the doorman at the Arconia, leading them into New York’s underbelly of crime and gambling – with a side order of AI and robots. The cast also included Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Logan Lerman, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest and Jermaine Fowler.

Now, after the Season 5 finale dropped this week, Disney has announced that the show has been renewed for Season 6, with the series heading overseas for the first time. Little else is known about the sixth chapter, but with five outings under its belt, the show’s co-creators Steve Martin and John Hoffman will no doubt be hoping a change of location gives the murder-mystery comedy a new jolt of energy.
