“More than a makeover”: BT TV user interface gets update

BT TV is updating its user interface this month, giving customers “more than just a makeover”.
The upgrade will apply to YouView boxes and the user interface on the previous BT Vision service. It will make the service “simpler and faster” for viewers to find the programmes they want to watch, improving BT TV Player in line with customer feedback and research.
New features include more intuitive navigation, quicker links to recent activity on the homepage and a new colour palate.
The all-new interface is being rolled out to YouView box customers in July and to customers with a BT Vision+ box in the autumn.
Alex Green, director of BT TV, said: “Our update is more than just a makeover. It will improve the performance of BT TV for customers, making navigation easier and faster. This follows our move from the BT Vision brand to simply using the BT master brand to cover our TV services.”
