“Tell me I’m making a good decision.” “No, awful.” That’s the sound of Brett Goldstein and Imogen Poots heading to Apple TV+ next month – and a new trailer gives us a first look at All of You.
The romantic drama follows Simon (Goldstein) and Laura (Poots), who have been best friends since college, but drift apart when she takes a test that finds her soulmate despite years of unspoken feelings between them. Over the years, as their paths cross and diverge, neither can deny the feeling that they’ve missed out on a life together. Faced with the uncertainty of changing the course of their lives, are Simon and Laura willing to risk everything to experience the love that had been between them all along, or should they accept their fate? All of You explores whether one person can ever be your everything.
Co-written by Goldstein and William Bridges (Black Mirror), who also makes his directorial debut, the film recalls AMC’s anthology TV series Soulmates, which was also written by Goldstein and Bridges and explored the idea of a test to determine your soulmate – and follows another Apple TV+ film, Fingernails, which delve into similar territory.
The film co-stars Steven Cree, Zawe Ashton and Jenna Coleman. You can see them in action on 26th September, when the film premieres on Apple TV+. Here’s the trailer:
Apple acquires All of You
12th December 2024
Apple Original Films has acquired All of You for its 2025 slate.
The humorous and heart-wrenching romantic drama is co-written by Brett Goldstein (“Ted Lasso,” “Shrinking”) and William Bridges (“Black Mirror”), with Bridges also directing.
Co-starring Imogen Poots, the film follows what happens when an exciting new test matching soulmates comes between two best friends, who spend the next 12 years trying to resist the urge to disrupt the paths their lives have taken – marriage, children, and tragedy – despite the undeniable feeling that they belong together. Steven Cree and Zawe Ashton also star.
Hailing from MRC and Republic Pictures, the film is produced by Ryder Picture Company’s Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett. Bridges and Goldstein also produce.
The project marks the latest collaboration for Apple and Goldstein, who serves as the co-creator and executive producer on Shrinking and starred in Ted Lasso, which he is also a co-executive producer and writer on.
Hailing from MRC, the film had its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and played at London Film Festival earlier this year. It will make its global debut on Apple TV+ in 2025.
