Apple TV+ is serving up blockbuster-worthy action in new epic Chief of War this summer, joined by the return of the hilarious comedy Platonic.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Apple TV+ in August 2025:

Chief of War: Season 1 – 1st August

Creating by Momo and Thomas Pa‘a Sibbett, the series follows the unification and colonisation of Hawai‘i from an indigenous perspective. Amid the beautiful backdrop of the islands, the nine-episode series is based on true events and follows warrior Ka‘iana (Jason Momoa), as he tries to unify the islands before Western colonisation in the late 18th century. The first two episodes land together – followed by new episodes weekly until 19th September.

Stillwater: Season 4 – 1st August

Siblings Karl, Addy and Michael have a very special next-door neighbor: a wise panda named Stillwater. His friendship and stories give them new perspectives on the world, themselves, and each other.

Platonic: Season 2 – 6th August

Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne return for this genuinely funny comedy about college mates Will and Sylvia that celebrates the value of friendship between men and women – and makes you want to be friends with them too. Episodes and 2 arrive together, followed by weekly episodes until the finale on 1st October.

Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical – 15th August

Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally, a first-time camper, is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place. While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby. A musical special about the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love.

Invasion: Season 3 – 22nd August

From Simon Kinberg, this sci-fi thriller follows an alien invasion through different perspectives around the world. In season three, those perspectives collide for the first time, as the series’ main characters are brought together to work as a team on a critical mission to infiltrate the alien mothership. Episodes arrive one a a time weekly.

Shape Island: Season 2 – 29th August

Three best friends seek adventure and connection while learning how to navigate each other’s differences. Based on the books by Mac Barnett and Jon Klassen. All episodes arrive at once.

Kpopped – 29th August

In each episode of this episode, Western icons reimagine one of their biggest hits, collaborating with top-tier K-pop idols to deliver spectacular battle performances, with a live Seoul-based audience picking the winner of the best new K-popped song.
