Netflix is serving up another round of laughs with the second season of its comedy special series, The Standups.
The series, which first premiered last year, featured six 30-minute episodes from six up-and-coming comedians, who took the mic to show off their material to the world. Filmed live at the Cicada Restaurant and Club in Los Angeles, each comic brought a fresh take on life in this intimate series of comedy shows.
Now, after shining a spotlight on Nate Bargatze, Deon Cole, Fortune Feimster, Nikki Glaser, Dan Soder and Beth Stelling, Netflix is returning to showcase another batch of rising stars. The Season 2 line-up includes Aparna Nancherla, Kyle Kinane, Gina Yashere, Brent Morin, Joe List, and Rachel Feinstein. You can get a glimpse of them in action with a new trailer for the series’ second run.
The Standups returns to Netflix on Tuesday 20th March. Here’s the video – or, for more on what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in March, click here.
The Standups Season 1 and 2 is available on Netflix UK, as part of a £7.49 monthly subscription. New episodes arrive every Wednesday.
