Trailer: I Am Not an Easy Man sees Netflix flip gender roles

Netflix is turning gender roles on its head for its latest original film, I Am Not an Easy Man.
The film sees a shameless chauvinist gets a taste of his own medicine when he wakes up in a world dominated by women. after a life spent ogling women, he finds himself at their mercy. To survive in this strange new world where roles are reversed, he’ll have to grow up fast. But it’s only a matter of time until he locks horns with a powerful female author.
The movie, written and helmed by Eleanore Pourriat, is based on her own short film Oppressed Majority. Made back in 2010, when it won an award at the Molodist International Film Festival, it wasn’t until 2014 that it suddenly went viral, racking up missions of views on YouTube. The 10-minute film was framed around the same premise, with a guy sexually assaulted in a female-run world.
You can expect equally sharp satire from the extended version, which marks Pourriat’s feature directorial debut. It’s released on Netflix on Friday 13th April. Here’s the trailer – or read on below to see the original short.
