Dave Chappelle is coming back to Netflix with a new stand-up special, and he’s got Morgan Freeman to help him announce it.
The comic, who stepped back into the limelight in 2017 after several years away from it, signed a deal with Netflix to stream two never-before-released specials on the subscription service. The agreement between the comedian and the streaming giant followed his debut hosting gig on SNL. The episode saw SNL hit its best ratings in three years.
Since then, he hasn’t looked back, with those two archive picks followed by another two new specials that were released together in New Year’s Eve. Fast forward to 2019, and he has a fifth special on the way, titled Sticks & Stones.
Described as “unflinching and boundary-pushing”, the special will see Dave gives his provocative perspective on the tidal wave of celebrity scandals, the opioid crisis, and more. The special is released on 26th August. Here’s the Morgan Freemantastix video:
Dave Chappelle: Sticks and Stones is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £9.99 monthly subscription.
