The Titan trailer: Sam Worthington stars in Netflix sci-fi horror

Netflix is on something of a science fiction run this year, releasing Annihilation, Mute, The Cloverfield Paradox and Altered Carbon all in the space of a couple of months. Now, the streaming giant is venturing out into space again for a new horror called The Titan.
Set in the near future, it follows a military family who uproot their lives so they can participate in a ground-breaking experiment to accelerate man’s genetic evolution. The goal? To relocate humanity to another planet and avoid extinction. The result? Unsurprisingly, something that goes slightly wrong.
Into that ominous scenario steps a starry cast, including Sam Worthington, Taylor Schilling and Tom Wilkinson. The movie marks the feature directorial debut of German helmer Lennart Ruff, which means this could become a breakout project for a fresh new filmmaking talent. We’ll find out for sure on Friday 30th March, when the film premieres on Netflix in the US. Those in the UK will have to wait a little longer, as Signature Entertainment has snapped up the British rights to the movie and will release it in UK cinemas and on VOD in April. You can read our review of that here.
