Reese Witherspoon will star in new Netflix movie Pyros.
Adapted from Thomas Pierce’s short story Tardy Man, the sci-fi thriller follows a team outfitted with indestructible suits fused to their spines so they can recover objects for wealthy people when their houses are on fire – but one breaks protocol to save a life.
Witherspoon, known for everything from Wild to Legally Blonde, will co-produce the picture, as the actor increasingly steps behind the camera as well as perform in front of it. She is no stranger to the small screen, having starred in both seasons of HBO’s Big Little Lies. She is also no stranger to the world of streaming, with The Morning Show, produces by her and Jennifer Aniston, set to be one of the flagship launch titles for Apple TV+, the tech giant’s new subscription streaming service.
Pyros is adapted by Pierce himself, with X-Men veteran Simon Kinberg attached to produce.
