Netflix will look Behind Her Eyes with a new psychological thriller.
The six-part series, which stars Simona Brown and Tom Bateman, is based on Sarah Pinborough’s novel of the same name. From the team behind The Crown, it is written by Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal, Narcos, The Punisher) and co-stars Eve Hewson (The Knick, Robin Hood) and Robert Aramayo (Nocturnal Animals, Game of Thrones).
Brown plays Louise, a single mother who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David (Bateman). Her life takes a strange turn when she later befriends his wife Adele (Hewson), and she finds herself caught in a web of secrets and lies where nothing is what it seems.
Produced by Left Bank Pictures and exec-produced by Lightfoot, Jessica Burdett, Andy Harries and Suzanne Mackie for Left Bank. The series producer is Eliza Mellor, the director is Erik Richter Strand (Valkyrien),and Netflix Execs are Allie Goss, Brittney Segal and Danielle Woodrow.
Principal photography has begun in Scotland and London with a 2020 release planned.
