Netflix has released a whole bunch of new character posters for Marvel’s Daredevil.
The super hero series, based on the DC comics, follows Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a lawyer blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, who fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the vigilante Daredevil.
Based in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City, the show is intended to be a gritty, authentic action crime drama, an approach mirrored by its cast, which includes Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Ulrich, Scott Glenn as Stick, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsey and Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley.
The series is the first of four live-action adventure series – Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones, Marvel’s Iron Fist, and Marvel’s Luke Cage – all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders.
The series is Executive Produced by showrunner Steven S. DeKnight (Buffy: The Vampire Slayer) and Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods), along with Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Heroes), who also serves as Marvel’s Head of Television. The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
Combined, the five new posters form one gigantic banner poster. Here they are – and here it is:
