Chef’s Table returns for a sixth helping this February, and a new trailer gives us a typically mouth-watering taste of what’s to come.
“I was representing a cuisine in a culture, that’s an enormous amount of pressure. It nearly killed me,” says Sean Brock (South Carolina), one of the chefs featured in the latest course. The menu also includes Asma Khan (India + UK), Dario Cecchini (Italy) and Mashama Bailey (Georgia).
The series will look at how Asma grew up in India and now works to bring pride to her mother, staffing her kitchen entirely with women, how renowned Italian butcher Dario rears his livestock, and how Mashama, another Southern US cook, admires the resilience of her culture, the beauty of survival and acknowledges her heritage with a restaurant housed in a formerly segregated bus station.
You can share their culinary journeys on Netflix from Friday 22nd February 2019. Here’s the trailer for Chef’s Table Season 6:
Chef’s Table Season 6 is available on Netflix UK, as part of an £8.99 monthly subscription.
