Where can I watch the original Alien movies online in the UK?

With Alien: Covenant now available to stream in the UK, there’s only one question on sci-fi fans’ lips: where can you watch the original Alien movies online?
The latest chapter in the ground-breaking franchise, Alien: Covenant is a new chapter in the tale of the the deadly, scary and unnerving Xenomorphs, creatures with a life cycle as disturbing as it gets – a nasty hybrid of body horror, violation, intrusion and corruption. The sequel sees the crew of the titular colony ship, Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, where they discover what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.
The thought of yet another Alien sequel might seem concerning, if it weren’t for the fact that the sequels to date have been phenomenal, fascinating or at least curiously flawed. As the fifth film is released, we look back over the Alien franchise to remember the series’ successes and re-evaluate its failings. While Alien: Resurrection may never be redeemed, we aim to reveal how much Alien 3 and Prometheus are worth another look, while remembering just how re-watchable the first two movies are, from Ridley Scott’s flawless sci-fi horror to James Cameron’s ambitious action blockbuster.
Is Aliens on Netflix? Is Prometheus on Amazon Prime Video? At the time of writing, none of the original Alien films are available on subscription VOD services, with only Alien: Covenant available on Sky Cinema and NOW. The original quadrilogy of films can, however, be purchased as a special HD anthology on iTunes, including the same bonus features (“iTunes Extras”) as the quadrilogy DVD and Blu-ray box set, plus the director’s cut of Alien, special edition of Aliens and assembly cut of Alien 3.
