Top 20 new releases coming soon to NOW TV in October 2015

October is when NOW really comes into its own for Entertainent Pass subscribers (£6.99 a month). The Walking Dead, The Flash and Arrow all return this month, not to mention American Horror Story and the brand new season of The Muppets.
“But where’s Game of Thrones?” Westeros fans may well cry. Well, that’s available too, with Seasons 2 to 4 joining the first season on NOW’s line-up as a box set. Between that, The Sopranos and The Affair Season 1 being added once more ahead of Season 2, this is one of the best month’s NOW has ever had.
For Movie Pass (£9.99 a month) subscribers, NOW is also busy adding some of the year’s best offerings, from Whiplash and Birdman to American Sniper and The Theory of Everything.

The Leftovers – Monday 5th October
Damon Lindelof’s sci-fi drama, set in a world where part of the population has mysteriously disappeared, returns for a second run, as troubled Sheriff Garvey (Justin Theroux) and his family head to a safe place following the events of Season 1. The place in question? Jardin, Texas, where nobody has vanished at all.
Modern Family: Season 7 – Thursday 8th October
The multi-Emmy-winning comedy series returns for another run.
The Walking Dead Season 6 – Monday 12th October
AMC’s zombie hit, which finished Season 5 with one heck of a cliffhanger, will pick up where we left off, as Rick’s megalomaniacal Sheriff schtick kicks off once again. Will anyone stand against the Ricktatorship? Seasons 1 to 5 are now available to catch up with as a box set.
The Flash: Season 2 – Tuesday 13th October
Barry, Ciscos and co. are back from another season of light-hearted, fast-paced super-heroics, as the gang turn their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City. Will The Flash be able to save his city? Season 1 is now available to catch up with as a box set.
Arrow: Season 4 – Wednesday 14th October
Of course, Oliver Queen hasn’t gone for good. In fact, he’s back to take on new bad guy Damien Darkh – and, in one episode, team up with John Constantine. After a cracking third season, the prospect of another 20 odd episodes (with even John Diggle getting a costume) is exciting stuff.
The Muppets – Monday 19th October
The ABC Studios mockumentary, which documents the ups and downs of the Muppets as they prepare to reunite for a new TV series, will explore the personal lives of Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie et. al. Co-written and executive produced by Bill Prady (The Big Bang Theory) and Bob Kushell (Anger Management), expect many post-modern laughs.
American Horror Story: Hotel – Tuesday 20th October
The famous horror series now moves to a hotel to give you the chills – and to make things even better, they’ve got Lady Gaga in the cast!
Da Vinci’s Demons: Season 3 – Sunday 25th October
David S Goyer’s historical fantasy about the untold story of Leonardo da Vinci reaches its final season, after Starz decided not to renew the show.
Game of Thrones: Season 2 to 4 – Available Now
With Season 1 of Game of Thrones already available on NOW, the chance to binge the first four seasons either for the first time or the fourth time is the perfect antidote to the chilly autumn evenings.

Jack O’Connell is amazing. If you’ve seen Starred Up or ’71, you’ll already be well aware of this. Now, he goes through the wringer once again for another tale of intense suffering: Unbroken. The movie, directed by Angelina Jolie, tells the true story of Olympian Louis Zamperini, who is dealt tough hand after tough hand by life’s dealer, but comes out the other side… unbroken.
Whiplash – Friday 16th October
A music student determined to be the best drummer of all time (Miles Teller) is pushed to his limits by a sadistic teacher (J.K. Simmons). The result is a riveting drama that has the toe-tapping style of jazz and the exhilarating thrill of an action movie.

Eddie Redmayne transforms completely for this turn as Stephen Hawking in James Marsh’s moving biopic.
